Prelaw Review

GENERAL INFORMATION
2008-2009 BYU Prelaw Review

Background:
The BYU Prelaw Review is one of only a few undergraduate law reviews in circulation.  As the only journal of its quality, the BYU Prelaw Journal is well-recognized and sent out to every law school in the country each year.  The journal mirrors a typical law review found at any top-tier law program.  It is entirely student-run and prepares students for law school as they present legal research using the law school citation system, Bluebook.

Looking to Publish?
Because graduate school prepares students for further research in their respective fields, being published now is one way to show your preparation.  As a published author, you demonstrate your growing ability to research analytically and present meaningful insights.  As a published journal, the Review accomplishes these purposes and allows students to showcase their skills to a scholarly audience such as law schools.

Looking for Editing Experience?
Within the Review, students work closely with each other to improve their research and analysis.  As editors, students gain valuable experience editing, writing, researching applicable current events, and using law library resources.  As a result, students develop both organizational and analytical skills while preparing scholarly articles.  In doing so, the Review allows students to develop many skills helpful for success in law school.
