Our mission is to provide a supportive, caring environment for BYU health professions students, which encourages personal excellence, meaningful service, and faithful discipleship. The health professions advisors are available to counsel and advise students with questions/concerns regarding a career as a heath care professional. In addition to premedical and predental assistance, we welcome students considering other areas of health care including physician assistant, pharmacy, optometry, physical/occupational therapy, etc. Information is available regarding various professional schools and programs, applications, letters of recommendation, tuition and fees, job outlooks, and salaries.

The Preprofessional Advisement Center advises students who are planning on applying to professional graduate school in 3 main areas: law, health (medical, dental, etc.), and pregraduate management (MBA, MPA, etc.). All students regardless of major or class standing can visit our office for help in deciding whether or not professional graduate school is the right choice for them, helping prepare to apply to professional graduate school, and getting prepared to excel in graduate school. We not only offer general advisement, but also classes, internships, service opportunities, student clubs, workshops, activities, fairs, and conferences.
