BYU Graduate School Fair 2008Friday, October 31, 2008 |
![]() |
With a student body of over 32,000, BYU students represent all 50 states and over 120 foreign countries. Thousands of our graduates apply for and attend graduate school each year all over the country in a variety of disciplines. BYU students applying to professional health schools are among the best in the nation in both quality and quantity. Our students regularly rank in the top ten nationally in numbers of applications to medical and dental schools. Over 40% of our student body has spent 18-24 months engaged in church service through LDS missions; half of those served in foreign countries, allowing them to immerse themselves in a foreign culture and learn a second language. BYU students are known for their work ethic, high moral standards, and professionalism.
Last year over 1600 students attended the BYU Graduate School Fair. Graduate school representatives commented on the excellent turn-out, facilities, and organization. Over 90% of the representatives who attended stated that they would want to attend again. Several representatives stated in their evaluations that it was the best fair they had attended all year.
We hope that you will join us this year for our Third Annual BYU Graduate School Fair and see why BYU is such a wonderful place to recruit graduate school students. We look forward to seeing you on Friday, October 31, 2008.

What will the table set-up be?
Registration cost includes a booth with space for 2 representatives. Each booth is eight-feet wide and includes a six-foot table. The table will be covered with a dark navy tablecloth and chairs for 2 representatives.
What is the registration deadline?
The deadline for registration is Wednesday, October 1, 2008 at midnight. Registration must be submitted AND payment received by our office at that time, otherwise you will not be allowed to attend.
Does BYU have limited capacity?
BYU does have a limited capacity of booths, so register early to guarantee your participation.
1. Can I get driving directions from SLC Airport to BYU?
Yes. Please see the link on the left hand side of this page and click on "Driving Directions" for printable instructions from the SLC Airport.
2. Where is the Wilkinson Student Center (WSC) located on BYU Campus?
Please see the link on the left hand side of this page and click on "BYU Campus Map" to see a full map of campus and the highlighted Wilkinson Center. When representatives arrive at the Wilkinson Center, there will be signs all over the building directing them to the Ballroom where the fair will take place.
3. Where do I park when I get to campus? Is there a place to unload my materials?
As you approach the Wilkinson Center, stay right and turn into a driveway that takes you into a canopied, covered passenger drop-off area. There will be people there to assist you in unloading your materials and taking them up to the WSC Ballroom.
You can park in either of the two visitor parking lots located on the map (see the link on the left hand side of this page and click on "BYU Campus Map"). One is located directly across from the WSC, but sometimes becomes full. In that case, there is an additional lot located next to the BYU Museum that is only a short walk to the WSC.
4. Can I ship materials to BYU before I come?
Yes. Please see the link on the left hand side of this page and click on "Printable Shipping Label." Materials must be shipped by Monday, October 20, 2008 to insure that they will arrive in time for the fair. Because the campus mail system takes several days to process even overnight and next-day packages, we strongly recommend that you do not ship materials after that day.
5. What hotels are close to BYU?
